Regarding my career, I aspire first and foremost to be a pediatric oncologist. I love working with children and am passionate about finding a cure for cancer. I dream of being a part of the compassionate community of people working not only to brighten the days of children diagnosed with cancer, but also to secure their futures. This upcoming school year, I plan to start my journey into the field by applying for a paid cancer research internship at the Wexner Medical Center. I also plan to volunteer in the James Comprehensive Cancer Center. After completing all of the pre-medical requirements during my time as an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University, my hope is to attend a prestigious medical school where I will complete an M.D.-Ph.D. program in cancer research. Sometime during my career, I intend to use my knowledge of French to participate in Doctors Without Borders. Finally, as a business major, I feel my business background will aid me in applying for research grants, and eventually in securing an administrative or management position at a key hospital, specialized cancer institution, or cancer-related philanthropic organization in order to positively impact the lives of more people living with this disease. Upon retirement, I would love to audition for a major orchestra in France and travel the world.
