MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW
The Security Traders Association (STA) is the leading trade organization for individual professionals in the securities industry that works to improve the ethics, business standards and working environment for its members. The Chicago affiliate - the Security Traders Association of Chicago (STAC) - is comprised of 600+ professionals engaged in the buying, selling and trading of securities. STA provides its members a voice on matters affecting the markets and trading community, with Congress, with the SEC, with regulators, with the exchanges and with other trade organizations. STAC hosts conferences that promote professional development, serve as a platform for influential leaders in the industry, as well as provide a forum for networking. STAC members receive
registration fee discounts for conferences, events and continuing education courses.

The STAC membership year runs from March 1 - February 28. All memberships are up for renewal on March 1 of each year regardless of join date. Dues paid by credit card will auto renew on March 1 of each year, unless cancelled by the member.
- Professional Membership Qualifications
$250 Annual Dues
Any person shall be eligible for Standard Membership in the Organization who is employed by a broker, dealer, financial institution, exchange
or other trading related business (subject to Board approval) located in the Chicagoland investment community and is employed in some capacity that directly supports the trading of securities, and who has served in such capacity for
a period of not less than one year (however, the one year requirement may be waived at the discretion of the Membership Committee.) A membership shall become void at the end of the fiscal year during which the member ceases to be active
in the securities business in the Chicagoland investment community except as explained in Section Four, or with approval from the Membership Committee. Apply Today

Student Membership Qualifications
Full-time undergrad upperclassman - Complimentary
Full-time graduate student - $100 Annual Dues
Student Membership in the Organization shall be by election by the Board of Directors. Any person who is a full-time upperclassman undergraduate or a full time graduate student is eligible to apply. Undergraduate students
will not have any dues assessed but will be required to provide at least 6 hours of volunteer service at STAC events or any other community service projects approved by the STAC Board. Graduate students who are not working
full time will pay a reduced dues rate of $100 per year. Student members will have limited membership rights and privileges. It is a non-voting position and they will only be eligible to attend certain events to be decided
by the Board of Directors on a case-by-case basis. Apply Today

Anyone interested in STAC's events and activities may create a guest profile. Creating a guest profile does not make one a member, but will add the you to STAC's email distribution list and is required to register
